Easton’s proprietary DublVzn™ graphic technology causes the light top layer of the chrome silver decals to gradually wear away over time with each hit, revealing the red graphics below.
Only the chrome Dub™ logo and DARKSIDE™ decal on the front side of the bat have been infused with the technology. The underlying red surface-level logos and all other chrome graphics are not affected and remain intact and legible, including any key graphic information required for USSSA play, such as the USSSA 1.15 BPF certification mark, the bat’s serial number, model name, and manufacturer name.
Yes, this bat is certified for USSSA play at the 1.15 BPF performance standard.
Easton has worked with USSSA to educate umpires on the changing graphic, specifically that it is by design and has been reviewed and approved by USSSA. USSSA has instructed umpires not to remove the bat from play solely because its graphics appear to be changing color.
However, the bat’s eligibility may be questioned if loose paint flakes remain partially attached to the bat. If this occurs, simply remove them with your finger before play. Standard umpire discretion on bat condition still applies.
