Home Run Sports Donates Clothing To Help Evacuees In Manitoba

Thanks to our friend Jim Toth from The Jim Toth Show on CJOB for connecting us with the Manitoba Métis Federation, and Gardewine for donating their time and resources to help us deliver the clothing.

Along with our parent company, OneTEAM Sports Group, we provide team clothing for Universities, Schools, Teams and Associations nationwide. We felt there was an opportunity to give back to the community and help those displaced by the recent fires in Manitoba.

“Home Run Sports has been involved in the community for well over 30 years. This was our opportunity to help those in need during this incredibly trying time” Scott Neiles, Home Run Sports.

We had 10 pallets of what we call “gym strip clothing” (t-shirts, shorts, sweatpants) valued at approximately $100,000 that we were able to donate to the Manitoba Metis Federation to support the current evacuee crisis and future youth programs, camps and activities.

“There was a lot of cheering in our command centre boardroom” Stephanie Meilleur, Director at Manitoba Métis Federation. “These clothes that were so generously donated by Home Run Sports will be making it to evacuees all over the province”
